ScrubPlan provides optional informational text messages to help bidders and subcontractors stay informed about active construction projects.
These messages may include:
- Bid invitations and bid-status confirmation requests
- Project and bid-package deadlines
- Material-delivery reminders
- Submittal reminders
- Related project updates
Messages are sent only to users who actively provide SMS consent through the ScrubPlan bidder portal.
How users opt in
When entering or confirming a mobile telephone number in the ScrubPlan bidder portal, the user is presented with a separate SMS consent checkbox.
The SMS checkbox is:
- Unchecked by default
- Separate from required account and bidding agreements
- Completely optional
- Not required to submit information or participate in bidding
A user may enter a mobile number without selecting the SMS consent checkbox. ScrubPlan does not send text messages unless the user actively selects the checkbox.
Consent is optional
Users can decline SMS consent and still:
- Create or maintain their ScrubPlan account
- Submit their contact information
- Receive and review bidding information through the portal
- Participate in project bidding
Declining SMS consent does not prevent a user from using the ScrubPlan bidder portal.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies depending on the user’s active projects, deadlines, and bidding activity. Up to three bidder-confirmation reminders may be sent for an individual bid invitation.
Message and data rates may apply according to the user’s wireless service plan.
Opting out and getting help
Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, no additional messages will be sent unless the recipient re-enrolls.
